This region is another of the smallest and least known in Italy where fresh and well-structured nectars are produced in thrilling vineyards standing 600 metres above sea level. The Basilicata, Italy, wine is mostly, or rather almost exclusively red although some Greco whites are worth experiencing in both dry and sparkling styles. Medium to full-bodied, Aglianico red wine is the expressive king of this land. Deep, dry, warm, it will make a perfect match with your braised or stewed meats and aged cheeses.
